New: TEAC´s WAP App
Now you can use your iPhone®, iPod touch® or your iPad® to control your TEAC WAP (Wireless Audio Player) network audio streamer. This APP gives you full control over the settings of every single WAP in your network. Streaming music from any UPnP® media server to several WAPs is easier than ever before. You can also combine your WAP with Airplay® products from TEAC and control it all through one APP.
Just select the Server and the WAP on your iPhone®´s display, browse your music collection and with a tip of your finger your favorite songs start playing with an animated cover.
Switch between several WAPs (Multiroom) and control every single one according to your wishes. Or just take your music with you from room to room.
Features:
• Mediaplayer/Streaming: Access a UPNP® Media Server in your home network
through an iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad®
• Multiroom: Playback of audio on one or several WAPs, your iPhone®, iPod touch®,
iPad® or an Airplay® compatible device.
• Supported formats: TEAC WAPs play back MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG and FLAC (24/96)
formats.
• Playlists: Create and edit playlists and save them on your iPhone®, iPod touch® or
iPad®, even using more than one source (UPnP® server).
• Airplay: Playback audio from any source in your network (UPnP® Server) on Apple
Airplay® compatible devices, e.g. TEAC CR-H700.
• Network configuration: edit the settings of all your WAP devices through your
iPhone®, iPod touch® or iPad® (only possible with WAP-8600SMR, WAP-AR100,
WAP-AX100, WAP-AX250).
Attention: Please check on our website www.teac.eu, if you have installed the latest firmware for your WAP. Network configuration through myWAP APP is only possible from firmware version 1.3.1.15.
Attention: In case of initial installation of your WAP it has to be connected to your Router/Access Point through an Ethernet cable.

This is what you see, when you start up the APP.
In the first line you see the menu options PlayNow, PlayList , Browse and Settings
The second line shows all sources (UPnP servers), which belong to the same network as your iOS device (iPhone/iPod/iPad).*
The third line shows your iOS device and all your TEAC WAP devices.*
* In case of more than four sources/players you can scroll to the left and right.
1. In Settings you can view and edit parameters oft he following WAP devices: WAP-8600, WAP-AR100, WAP-AX100 and WAP-AX250.
Just select the device you want to configure and then select Settings.
Attention: For initial installation of your WAP the device has to be connected to your Router/AP through Ethernet cable. When status LED blinks green/blue (WAP-AR/AX), or when power LED blinks blue (WAP-8600SMR) the WAP device is in configuration-mode. To leave configuration-mode the Save network button(see below) has to be pressed – even if no changes have been made to the system.
1.1. In the submenu Interface you can view and edit all parameters relevant to the SMR itself and when using the bidirectional remote control (WAP-8600BRC).
Language: display/menu language of your BRC
SMR sleep: Standby when SMR is idle
BRC sleep: Standby when BRC is idle
Startup screen: Menu / function shown at startup of BRC
Name: device name (editable)
Version: Firmware version
Use Save interface to save changes made in the sub menu Interface
1.2. The submenu Network allows edit the network configuration of your WAP devices.
LAN: select, when using ethernet cable
WLAN: select, when running on WLAN
MAC: MAC-address of your SMR
Use DHCP: Automatic or manual IP-address configuration
Following parameters can only be edited, when IP-address configuration is set to manual:
IP
Subnet Mask
DNS1
Gateway
SSID: Select your WLAN router/AP
Security: Configuration of security parameters/encryption method. Using WPA/WPA2 is highly recommended. The corresponding password has to be entered under Key.
Press Save network to store changes you made to the WAP device.
Attention: changes will only become active after pressing Save network!
WAP devices support the following audio formats: MP3, M4A, FLAC (bis 24bit/96kHz), OGG, WMA. Other formats may be transcoded on your media server, if this is supported by the server.
4. You can manage playlists in the PlayList menu independently of the connected players, as the playlists are stored on your iOS device.
By default every title/folder selected in the Browse menu will be added to the actual playlist.
This can be edited , stored and deleted anytime.
5. When selecting the PlayNow menu and the prefered Player, the actual playing (or pausing) title, as well as the total playing time and the actual position will be shown. With properly prepared ID3 tags artist, album name and cover art will be displayed.

6. When Airplay-capable devices are connected to your network, you can also use them for playback of music from any of the available Sources. When selecting your iOS device as Player you will see the Airplay-logo in the lower right corner, where you can choose on which device you want to play back your music.
